Summary
The Regional Support Maintenance Technician travels to local and regional facilities to provide technical expertise and facilities support. This role performs preventive maintenance and unscheduled work on building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and vertical transportation while maintaining vehicle and tool inventories and documenting work orders.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance on building equipment and building envelope with logging of safety inspections
- Inspect and maintain facility equipment such as vertical transportation, boilers, generators and HVAC
- Perform electrical and mechanical repairs and troubleshooting
- Maintain and service HVAC equipment
- Drive and manage company vehicle and maintain tool inventory
- Respond to unscheduled and emergency work orders including after hours calls
- Provide store coverage and perform duties assigned by Regional Facilities Manager
- Maintain documentation of all work orders and service activities
- Adhere to safety procedures including use of protective equipment and SDS information
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5 years relevant experience in building maintenance with mechanical and technical training
- Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems
- EPA Certified Universal and valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders
- Strong troubleshooting, communication and time management skills
- Ability to respond to after hours emergencies and work required seasonal periods
- Proficient with computers and documentation of work orders
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with peers contractors and vendors
