Summary
Responsible for receiving, unpacking and delivering merchandise to selling departments, fulfilling and shipping customer orders, and supporting store operations through inventory processing and maintaining organized stockrooms and selling floors.
Responsibilities
- Receive and unload freight and unpack merchandise for distribution to departments
- Deliver merchandise to selling departments and assist with stockroom organization
- Fulfill customer orders and prepare shipments following packing and shipping standards
- Utilize inventory management systems to scan and process shipments and research discrepancies
- Assist with store support tasks such as markdowns, relocating fixtures, and special event setup
- Maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms
- Perform physical tasks including lifting, carrying and handling bulky items
Requirements
- High level of ownership, accountability and initiative
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable using various technologies and computer applications
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs
- Capable of continuous movement for 6-8 hours with frequent bending and reaching
- Ability to lift and carry regularly up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
