Returns Associate

Summary

The Returns Associate supports store operations by processing and securing returned merchandise, maintaining organized work areas, and collaborating with specialized operations teams under the Assistant General Manager Operations. This role requires customer service orientation, basic POS and computer skills, and the ability to handle light lifting. The associate follows protocols for returns, adjustments, and reconciliation while communicating with operations and asset protection teams.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the digital return register and process returned items.
• Maintain neat and organized return and work areas.
• Follow policy and procedures for processing returns and adjustments.
• Ensure returned product is separated, organized, secured, and labeled with printouts.
• Assist in reconciling reports and cash reconciliation tasks.
• Resolve internal and external customer issues related to returns.
• Support related specialized operations functions such as gift card events and jewelry operations.
• Communicate and collaborate with Merchandise Operations, Asset Protection, and AGMO.
• Follow up on reporting and escalate issues as needed.

Requirements

• Customer service orientation with strong interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with POS systems and strong computer skills including Google and MS Office.
• Ability to lift cartons and handle racks and carts; lifting up to 15 pounds.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, team oriented environment with minimal supervision.
• Attention to detail and organized personal workspace.
• Flexibility to work a variable schedule to meet business needs.
• Ability to influence team to follow store policies and procedures.
