Summary
The Returns Desk Associate supports store returns processing and specialized operations under the Assistant General Manager Operations. This role handles customer interactions, processes return transactions, maintains organized return workflows, and collaborates with operations and asset protection teams to preserve product integrity.
Responsibilities
- Process returns, adjustments, and reconcile reports at the digital return register
- Open and close the return register and attach return printouts to items
- Maintain neat organized environment and secure product to standard
- Separate and organize ecom returns and ensure product integrity
- Resolve customer issues both internal and external
- Collaborate with Merchandise Operations, Asset Protection, and management
- Support related specialized operations such as cash reconciliation gift card events and jewelry operations
- Follow reporting protocols escalate issues for resolution
- Perform ad hoc duties as needed
Requirements
- Customer service orientation with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift cartons racks and carts of merchandise up to 15 pounds
- Knowledge of POS systems and strong computer skills including Google and MS Office
- Ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment
- Flexible availability to meet business scheduling needs
- Attention to detail and organized personal workspace
- Ability to influence team to follow store policies and procedures
- Effective communication and ability to liaise between clients and store
