Sales Associate - Handbags - South Coast Plaza

Summary

Provide exceptional customer service and drive handbag sales on the retail floor at a high-traffic South Coast Plaza location. Assist customers with product selection, offer styling advice, and maintain visual merchandising standards while working a part-time schedule. Collaborate with the sales team to meet individual and store sales goals and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers, build rapport, and deliver personalized product recommendations for handbags and accessories.
• Achieve individual sales targets through consultative selling and follow-up.
• Maintain merchandise presentation, restock sales floor, and execute visual standards.
• Process sales transactions, returns, and exchanges accurately using POS systems.
• Support inventory activities including receiving, tagging, and cycle counts as needed.

Requirements

• 2+ years of retail or sales experience, preferably with handbags, accessories, or luxury goods.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
• Availability to work flexible part-time hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
