Job Description

Summary

The Sales Manager leads a team of sellers to drive customer experience and achieve sales targets while fostering an engaging employment environment. This role manages hiring, coaching, performance, store presentation, inventory strategies, payroll coverage and collaborates with store leaders and vendors to grow the business.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales targets for assigned area
  • Meet customer service targets and resolve difficult customer issues
  • Recruit select hire and onboard talent
  • Lead motivate and retain a high performing team
  • Communicate performance goals and coach employees
  • Oversee designated sales associate programs and partner with vendors
  • Serve as manager in charge of the store as required
  • Maintain merchandise presentation and evaluate inventory performance
  • Manage payroll expense while ensuring appropriate coverage

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years supervisory experience with sales accountability
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales and profit targets
  • Experience in retail selling preferably in a luxury environment
  • Ability to lead change and adopt new initiatives
  • Strong leadership coaching and communication skills
  • Client relationship and loyalty management experience
  • Knowledge of health and safety practices for retail operations
