Summary
Provide exceptional fashion focused customer service through in-store and digital selling while meeting sales goals and supporting department operations. Use social media and text to grow a customer following and open new rewards accounts. Perform various merchandising tasks and occasionally work in other departments as business needs require.
Responsibilities
- Set and achieve sales goals for in-store and digital channels
- Build and maintain lasting customer relationships
- Provide styling advice and honest feedback on fit and product
- Use text and social media to engage customers and drive sales
- Open new Nordstrom Rewards program accounts
- Fill orders, stock merchandise, and re-merchandise displays
- Perform price markdowns and light cleaning to keep department customer ready
- Work a flexible schedule that varies by week based on business needs
- Occasionally perform duties in other departments as required
Requirements
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Self motivated and goal oriented with strong work ethic
- Interest and ability to use networking and technology for sales
- Ability to excel in a team and prioritize multiple tasks
- Organization and strong follow through
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs
- Physical ability to move continuously for 6-8 hours with bending and reaching
- Frequent use of hands for grasping and manipulation
- Ability to lift regularly up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds
