Seasonal logistics processor responsible for receiving and processing incoming merchandise, fulfilling customer orders, preparing shipments, and supporting store operations at a busy retail location. Responsibilities
- Receive and unload freight and unpack new merchandise for selling departments
- Deliver merchandise to selling floors and restock stockrooms
- Fulfill customer orders timely following quality and packing standards
- Prepare and ship customer orders following shipping procedures
- Use inventory management systems to scan and process shipments
- Research and resolve merchandise shipment discrepancies
- Assist with store setups, special events, markdowns, and fixture relocation
- Maintain clean and organized selling floors and backrooms
- Perform regular physical tasks including lifting and moving merchandise
Requirements
- Ability to work in a fast paced retail environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable using various technology and computer applications
- Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Capable of continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift with frequent bending and reaching
- Frequent use of hands for grasping and manipulation of merchandise
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on business needs
- High level of ownership, accountability and initiative
