Responsibilities- Oversee accounting operations for U.S. and Canadian subsidiaries, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.
- Manage and lead all intercompany reconciliations, facilitating seamless coordination and accurate elimination of intercompany transactions.
- Conduct detailed account reconciliations, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of all general ledger accounts.
- Manage fixed asset reconciliations, ensuring proper recording, valuation, and reporting of all fixed assets.
- Lead sales reconciliations, ensuring accurate tracking and alignment of sales revenue.
- Handle payroll entries and reconcile payroll liability accounts for US & Canada.
- Assist with Sox controls and post journal entries as needed.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts.
- Work closely with senior management to ensure sales deadlines are met.
- Assist the Finance department with administrative tasks and ad hoc projects.
- Streamline procedures, systems, and activities to achieve improved processes.
- Assist in the preparation and coordination of audits by providing necessary financial information.
Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in retail, fashion, consumer packaged goods, or a CPA firm.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with advanced skills.
- Experience with SAP is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and structure large volumes of data.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
- Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Results-driven, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and teams.
