SummaryAs a Senior Accountant at Saint Laurent, you will play a crucial role in the Finance Department, supporting the collection, preparation, and review of financial information during month and year-end closing processes. You will ensure accurate reporting of financials according to Kering and IFRS guidelines and contribute to the achievement of internal controls and external audit compliance.
Responsibilities- Support Saint Laurent Americas, including USA, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Panama, and Dominican Republic.
- Collaborate with Brand Accounting Manager, Kering Shared Service, external BPOs, and the Finance team during monthly and year-end closing.
- Oversee integration and review of local Trial Balances into the ERP system.
- Prepare month-end journal entries for Store and Corp accounts for the America region.
- Prepare Sales and Margin File and calculate Cost of Goods sold.
- Analyze Statutory vs MRP differences between BPO and YSL America.
- Prepare Monthly Closing Package for Controlling Group focusing on Balance Sheet & Cash Flow elements.
- Support Accounting Manager in meetings with department heads to review financial results.
- Approve invoices in Invoice approval tools for the Americas Region.
- Create and maintain Cost Object components, Internal orders, WBS codes in SAP.
- Prepare monthly variable rent calculation for payment to landlord.
- Support Lease accounting activities alongside Kering Lease Accounting team and Real Estate team.
- Support Accounting Manager in the preparation and review of the Annual Tax declaration for Canada and Latam Business units.
- Assist management in the preparation of support for annual external and internal audits.
- Support management on ad hoc analyses and special projects.
- Aid the Controller in monitoring internal control compliance and SOPs.
- Prepare Additional disclosures in consolidation tool.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA or MBA a plus.
- 5+ years of accounting experience with managerial experience; Retail experience a plus.
- Understanding of accounting principles and procedures, IFRS.
- Advanced technical skills including Excel, Pivot Tables, XLookup, SUMIFS, Index Match, Power Query, PowerBI, SAP, HFM.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Positive leadership traits and high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to research, analyze, and evaluate complex data.
- Ability to multi-task while maintaining critical deadlines.
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and counterparts overseas.
- Highest regard for confidentiality.
- System savvy and self-motivated to learn new technology.
- Bilingual English, Spanish a plus.
- Position based in New Jersey, willingness to travel to NY Office as needed.
