Senior Design Project Manager

Summary

The Senior Design Project Manager guides retail design projects from initial concept through construction and rollout. This role balances brand standards, operational needs, quality, cost, and timelines to create cohesive customer experiences across stores.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project scoping, concept development, shop drawing review, prototyping, and construction.
• Partner with stakeholders and advise Real Estate and Legal teams on developer contracts, landlord responsibilities, and design reviews.
• Coordinate architectural and engineering consultants, contractors, fabricators, and regulatory agencies.
• Develop test fits, design studies, project tracking tools, and process improvements.

Requirements

• 10+ years of retail design experience and a bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Knowledge of building codes, ADA requirements, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, contract negotiation, and construction administration.
• Expertise in design software and renderings, including SketchUp, Enscape, Adobe Creative Suite, Revit or AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and Smartsheet.
• Strong communication, strategic thinking, budget management, planning, and change-management skills; willingness to travel up to 40%.
