Summary
Senior Designer responsible for owning a category by conceptualizing, sketching and executing collection ideas that reflect the brand ethos and appeal to the target customer. This hybrid role is based at the downtown Seattle headquarters and requires collaboration with leadership and cross-divisional partners while contributing strategic design direction and team development.
Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and accurately sketch collection ideas that represent the target customer
- Design original and commercially viable product
- Act as a fashion authority to drive brand designs and point of view
- Manage design team calendar to meet milestones and due dates
- Research materials, components, trends and competitive brands
- Prioritize workload and complex work streams across the design team
- Collaborate with leadership and cross-divisional partners to ensure alignment
- Manage and develop the design team through feedback and development plans
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Design preferred
- 7+ years' experience in the design industry with 2+ years managing a design team preferred
- Strong ability to hand-sketch
- Strong understanding of industry trends and ability to handle high volume of styles
- Strategic thinking and appropriate level of detail for audiences
- Clear written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong time management and multi-tasking skills and ability to work independently or as a team
