Summary
The Senior Technical Designer will lead technical design and development for apparel, managing a team and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure product fit, construction, and brand alignment while working in a hybrid headquarters environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead a team of Technical Designers
- Collaborate with cross-functional and external partners to align design intent and brand requirements
- Create and maintain consistent fit, construction details, and construction images
- Lead fit approvals to production and maintain measurement worksheets for factories
- Lead block pattern development and coordinate with Pattern Engineer and Product Developer
- Manage fit session coordination and analyze wear tests
- Ensure calendar milestones and development timelines are met
- Conduct market research and drive recommendations
- Lead special projects as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Apparel Design Pattern Making or related field
- Minimum 7 years experience in production fitting and pattern making
- Experience leading and influencing a project or team
- Expertise in grade rules and tolerances with fit test capability
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator MS Office and Product Lifecycle Management systems
- Strong organization time management and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability and willingness to travel globally
