Summary
The Senior Director, Global Visual Merchandising and Store Design owns and evolves global visual merchandising and store design frameworks across physical channels. This role defines brand standards, design systems, and governance to ensure consistency, scalability, and alignment with commercial objectives while enabling regional execution.
Responsibilities
- Define and evolve global store design concepts, fixture systems, and visual standards for boutiques shop-in-shops and open-sell environments
- Partner with external architects and design consultants to develop scalable retail concepts
- Provide design frameworks guidelines and brand codes to regional and local teams
- Establish approval criteria and governance processes for floorplans and shop designs
- Translate campaign concepts into scalable global visual merchandising principles and playbooks
- Oversee development of global VM guidelines and reference materials to support campaign implementation
- Define global approaches for theatre hospitality pop-ups and special activations
- Lead coordination of VMSD workstreams for local and regional market launches including shop design and buildout
Requirements
- 12 years of experience in visual merchandising store design or related field
- Strong project management skills with ability to lead multiple projects from concept to execution
- Leadership skills with experience motivating cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in Adobe Suite including InDesign and Photoshop and Microsoft Word and Excel
- Knowledge of department and industry standards and planogram logic
- Experience partnering with external architects vendors and production teams
- Ability to develop governance frameworks and scalable design systems
