Summary
The Senior Engineer designs and delivers reliable, secure, and scalable services for the loyalty platform. This role leads technical strategy across engineering workstreams, improves platform quality, and mentors engineers while supporting complex production incidents.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain services, APIs, and components supporting loyalty earning, rewards, tiering, redemption, and lookup.
- Lead technical strategy, solution design, code reviews, and engineering standards across multiple services and workstreams.
- Improve performance, reliability, security, observability, automated testing, CI/CD, and release processes.
- Resolve complex production issues, participate in on-call support, and analyze defects and operational bottlenecks.
- Use AI tools responsibly in engineering work, mentor teammates, and participate in interviews.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of professional software engineering experience and a relevant degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, RESTful services, event-driven applications, and Kafka or similar platforms.
- Experience with APIs, data stores, cloud infrastructure, and AWS or GCP cloud-native development.
- Knowledge of object-oriented design, application patterns, and hands-on AI tools for engineering.
- Strong communication skills and experience collaborating across cross-functional teams.
- Experience with Python, React, C#, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, automated testing, or loyalty platforms is preferred.
