Summary
Support distribution operations by implementing and testing processes and system functionalities, developing reports, and overseeing projects to improve capacity, throughput, productivity, accuracy, or visibility in the distribution center. Lead initiatives from design to implementation, create business cases and budgets, and partner with cross functional teams to support growth of the supply chain network. Role is full time at the Cranbury distribution center with the option to work one day per week remotely and occasional remote on call support.
Responsibilities
- Lead projects from design through implementation, including business cases, budgets, timelines, and leadership updates
- Perform analysis to support expansion of the supply chain network
- Analyze and evaluate DC systems, processes, layout and tools to recommend improvements
- Develop new processes and test system functionalities to support operations and customer requirements
- Drive standardization and streamlining of distribution center processes
- Create and update process and layout documentation
- Partner with engineering, operations, IT, vendors and other departments to execute initiatives
- Oversee and mentor industrial engineers and vendors as needed
- Provide analytical reporting and present conclusions to stakeholders
Requirements
- 7 years of experience in a distribution center or similar industry
- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, supply chain management, or related field preferred
- Advanced Excel skills including data management and pivot tables
- Working knowledge of a WMS, Manhattan preferred
- Experience leading projects and others
- Experience with continuous improvement initiatives
- Familiarity with labor management preferred
- Strong critical thinking, troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Ability to communicate and present across all levels of the organization
