Summary
Support product management for tailored clothing within the Polo brand overseeing full product life cycle from development to bulk production. Partner with design, merchandising, technical design, sourcing offices, factories and mills to deliver product that meets quality, cost and lead-time goals. Drive timelines, approvals and handoffs to ensure seasonal and made to measure launches meet milestones.
Responsibilities
- Participate in board reviews to establish product pipeline and technical design track
- Handoff seasonal line information for style number setup and creation
- Analyze costing and establish pricing options to optimize buy and target margins
- Track deliveries weekly and report findings to sourcing, merchandising and regional teams
- Partner with design and manager on design approvals and communicate changes to operations partners
- Manage launch of seasonal made to measure fabric and trim books and key partner milestones
- Develop timelines with sourcing offices and vendors for raw material and trim sourcing and approvals
- Lead and monitor approval process for prototypes and salesman samples to ensure timely showroom arrivals
- Manage PO handoff and cross-check product information and costing before operations pass off
Requirements
- Product development or related experience across full product life cycle
- Understanding of garment manufacturing processes, factory capabilities and cost negotiation
- Experience optimizing production outcomes and calendar management
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Ability to pivot and problem solve in a fast paced environment
- Experience in tailored clothing development a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to product information
- Proficiency with Excel, Outlook, PLM, Airtable and Vibe
