SummaryAs a Special Orders Specialist, you will support the special orders process through article and order creation of merchandise in the assigned department. You will work under the guidance of the US Director of Buying and Merchandising, supporting corporate and retail teams, brand partners, and vendors throughout the special orders process.
Responsibilities- Enter merchandising data into internal systems.
- Create purchase orders in SAP.
- Update existing orders within the special orders system.
- Coordinate returns to vendors with retail teams and brand partners.
- Communicate with vendors and retail teams for special orders and bespoke items.
- Negotiate better terms and pricing.
- Maintain inventory and supply management.
- Work with IT to develop more effective systems and processes.
- Lead and support merchandising and retail teams handling special orders, providing training and task management.
- Communicate effectively across the business, keeping management updated with performance and relevant business issues.
- Work under pressure to achieve tight deadlines.
- Assist with event coordination, including off-site store events.
- Travel and attend off-site events outside of regular work hours and days, including weekends, to support retail.
- Perform other responsibilities and tasks as assigned.
Requirements- Knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of SAP.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple competing priorities.
- Jewelry or watches experience preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of retail or related experience.
- College degree required.
- Passion for jewelry is a must.
