Specialist, Point Of Sale - 57th Street Flagship Boutique

Summary

Point of Sale (POS) Specialist responsible for accurately and efficiently processing sales transactions and supporting the boutique team to maximize client-facing time. The role manages cash wrap operations, maintains POS workflows, and promotes client engagement with digital tools. This is an in-store position that supports multiple boutique functions to ensure a seamless client experience.

Responsibilities

• Process sales, receipts, refunds, and credits accurately and professionally.
• Own cash wrap operations: stock packaging and supplies, open/close registers, handle cash and deposits, and coordinate POS closing workflow.
• Bag, box, and gift wrap merchandise to brand standards.
• Capture accurate client data during transactions and support digital client engagement.
• Support other boutique areas to maximize efficiency and client-facing time.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of related experience, including prior point-of-sale experience in a service industry.
• Ability to operate registers and comfort with POS technology and digital tools.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to handle confidential client information.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Able to lift 15 lbs. and walk or stand for extended periods; flexible schedule including late nights, weekends, and some holidays.
• Foreign language skills preferred but not required.
