Summary
Responsible for daily general office operations and jewelry department operational functions under the Assistant General Manager, Operations. The role includes handling cash processes, resolving customer issues, maintaining jewelry receiving and shipping standards, and supporting store initiatives and internal audit readiness. Works in a fast paced retail environment requiring strong communication, organization, and computer skills.
Responsibilities
- Open store and prepare safe, controller, and registers and distribute reports
- Perform morning cash entry, process bank deposits, reconcile chargebacks, and count register and petty cash
- Receive verify and book jewelry following company standards and shipping guidelines
- Process re tickets RTVs transfers ASN shipments price changes and special orders
- Maintain repair log track repairs and submit repair invoices
- Ensure case counts are completed merchandise entered and discrepancies reconciled
- Assist with trunk show merchandise receive set up take down and recap results
- Communicate with corporate merchants accounts payable inventory control and vendors as needed
- Assist managers and associates on the selling floor and process fulfillment orders
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 15 lbs climb ladders and handle racks and carts of merchandise
- Strong computer skills including Google and MS Office and ability to adapt to technology changes
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and professional customer interactions
- Ability to multi task work in a team environment and follow store policies and procedures
- Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate attention to detail and organized workspace
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and adhere to dependability standards
- Support internal audit readiness including monitoring vault and safe contents
