Sr. Engineering Manager, Supply Chain Transportation

Summary

Senior Engineering Manager responsible for leading the Supply Chain Transportation engineering team to deliver and support backend services powering logistics and omni-channel fulfillment. This role blends technical leadership, hands-on development, and people management to drive platform decisions, leverage data and AI, and ensure reliable systems for internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery outcomes for engineering teams in partnership with product and business stakeholders
• Hire, develop, and mentor engineers and technical leaders
• Design, build, and evolve new and existing backend systems
• Make technology and platform decisions impacting the organization
• Lead distributed teams across time zones
• Participate in roadmap definition and execution
• Use data and AI to inform solutions and improve customer experience
• Balance hands-on coding with technical advocacy
• Operate and support business critical systems for internal and external users

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of progressive software development experience
• 4+ years leading software development teams with full SDLC experience
• 4+ years hands-on backend development experience
• 2+ years working in cloud environments
• Proficiency in Java or Python
• Experience in transportation or supply chain preferred or fast learner in new domains
