Responsibilities- Mix different types of monomer according to procedures and recipes.
- Inject monomer into mold assemblies following standard operating procedures.
- Follow priority order guidelines and maintain tracking accuracy.
- Inspect assemblies for injection and film defects.
- Load cure ovens and vats as per standard procedures.
- Clean injection equipment following standard procedures.
- Maintain accurate production reports.
- Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to safety requirements.
Requirements- High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 years of related experience or training.
- Ability to respond to emergency alarms and wear required PPE.
- Pass respirator testing.
- Understand and follow oral and written standard operating procedures.
- Produce quality work at or above standard quantities.
- Detect obvious defects and maintain a clean working area.
- Work independently with good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Frequently sit, stand, and use hands or fingers; occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Exposure to hot/cold conditions, solvents, and chemical fumes.
- Wear protective eyewear and possibly gloves, aprons, smocks, boots, and respirator.
- Basic computer operating knowledge.
- Preferred: 1 year experience in production or lab environment.
