Staff Accountant

Summary

The Staff Accountant supports the North America Brands finance team by maintaining accurate financial operations and supporting accounting closes. The role ensures compliance with IFRS and Group reporting standards while partnering with brands and support functions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts, and analyze balance sheet and P&L accounts.
• Complete month-end and year-end closing activities in accordance with reporting standards.
• Support fixed asset, CAPEX, and monthly lease accounting processes.
• Review trial balances, explain variances, and participate in internal and external audits.
• Contribute to process improvements and ad hoc accounting projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field with an accounting minor, and 1-3 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Understanding of accounting concepts and P&L, cash flow, and balance sheet analysis.
• Proficiency in Excel and financial systems; SAP ERP experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage priorities and deadlines.
