Summary
Seeking a Stock Associate to support store operations in Meatpacking by managing incoming and outgoing merchandise, maintaining stock room organization, and assisting the sales team and management with inventory tasks. The role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and basic computer skills to ensure efficient stock processes and accurate record keeping.
Responsibilities
- Verify accuracy of merchandise and supply deliveries against documentation
- Provide timely stock checks and deliver items to the sales floor upon request
- Organize stock room by style, color and size or per management direction
- Execute routine cycle counts and report inventory discrepancies to management
- Maintain organized shipping area and ensure outgoing merchandise is packaged and logged
- Maximize stock space for efficient access and store operation
- Communicate new arrivals product replenishment and client returns to management and sales team
- Replenish packaging supplies within the boutique
- Assist in training new hires on shipping and receiving procedures
Requirements
- 1-2 years experience in a complex retail stock room preferred
- Experience with domestic or international freight carriers is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills with Excel experience preferred
- Ability to stand and be mobile for extended periods
- Ability to climb ladders and lift packages up to 20 lbs regularly
- Self-motivated professional team player with accountability and willingness to accept feedback
