Summary
The Stock Manager is responsible for overseeing in-store inventory operations, ensuring accurate receiving, storage, and reconciliation of merchandise while supporting store performance and customer service. This role manages daily shipping and receiving, cycle counts, and repair logistics, and works closely with store management to maintain operational standards and budget alignment. The Stock Manager also coordinates facilities maintenance and supports the sales floor as needed.
Responsibilities
- Oversee policies and procedures according to the store operations manual and global stockroom guidelines
- Manage daily shipping, receiving, and processing of merchandise
- Troubleshoot and resolve inventory discrepancies and negatives
- Receive merchandise and complete monthly store reconciliations
- Partner on repair management, ship out repairs and follow up as needed
- Perform cycle counts and prepare annual inventory per guidelines
- Maintain and organize back-of-house storage to prevent loss prevention and sales issues
- Manage supplies and ensure costs align with budget; order shipping and packaging materials as needed
- Perform opening and closing procedures and coordinate facility maintenance and vendor services
- Ensure all required daily, weekly, and monthly reporting is submitted and accurate
Requirements
- 6+ years of operational experience within luxury retail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and inventory systems such as JDA
- Strong organizational skills, commercial awareness, and ability to drive results
- Demonstrated ability to manage, coach, and develop a team
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with internal and external partners
- Ability to lift and move bulk merchandise and perform physical stock tasks
- Ability to work quickly and effectively in a fast-paced retail environment
