Summary

Provide high quality tailoring and fitting services for customers, performing measurements, fittings, and alterations while maintaining Nordstrom service standards and productivity goals. Use sewing and pressing machinery and store technology to manage alteration requests and deliver excellent customer service in a fast paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Measure customers for size and fit garments on customers
• Mark areas requiring alterations and perform sewing alterations
• Complete customer fittings and alterations on time according to guidelines
• Meet department and individual productivity goals
• Utilize store technology to manage and organize alteration needs
• Collaborate with Alterations and Store Team to deliver customer expectations
• Educate customers and employees on fit, style, construction, and trends

Requirements

• Previous fitting tailoring and sewing experience, preferred minimum of 2-3 years
• Clear professional communication with coworkers and customers
• Ability to stay organized and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
• Willingness to learn and safely operate sewing pressing machinery and alterations equipment
• Flexibility to work a variable schedule based on business needs
