Summary

Provide high quality tailoring and fitting services to customers, performing measurements, fittings, and alterations while delivering professional customer service and meeting department productivity goals. Utilize store technology and collaborate with the Alterations and Store Team to organize and manage customer alteration needs and educate customers on fit and style.

Responsibilities

• Measure customers and assess garments for alteration needs
• Fit garments on customers and mark areas requiring alterations
• Perform and complete sewing alterations and customer fittings on time
• Follow Nordstrom guidelines and service standards for alterations
• Meet department and individual productivity goals
• Utilize store technology to manage customer alteration requests
• Collaborate with team members to deliver customer expectations
• Educate customers and employees on proper fit style construction and trends

Requirements

• Previous fitting tailoring and sewing experience preferred
• Preferred minimum of 2-3 years of tailoring or fitting experience
• Clear professional communication with coworkers and customers
• Ability to stay organized and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
• Willingness to learn and safely operate sewing pressing machinery and standard alterations equipment
• Ability to embrace a flexible working schedule based on business needs
