Tailor

Summary

As a Tailor, you will perform expert alterations on men’s garments to ensure exceptional fit and finish, working closely with store management and sales associates. You will maintain the tailor shop and equipment, manage multiple alterations efficiently, and deliver timely, precise service that enhances the in-store customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform alterations on men’s suits, shirts, coats, blazers, and trousers including sleeve adjustments, tapering, collar and waist alterations, and trouser length and width changes.
• Accurately mark garments and complete alterations to company standards for fit and finish.
• Collaborate with sales associates to verify sizing and recommend garment adjustments for customers.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-functioning tailor shop and ensure equipment is in good working order.
• Provide high-level customer service by delivering timely and precise alterations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in garment alterations, preferably in men’s tailoring or formalwear.
• Proficient in sewing techniques and operation of tailoring machines and basic equipment.
• Strong understanding of fabrics, garment construction, and color perception.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple alterations efficiently.
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills and a professional appearance.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment and willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
