Tailor

Summary

As a Tailor you will deliver expert in-store alterations to ensure garments fit customers perfectly, working closely with sales associates and store management. You will uphold high standards of craftsmanship while maintaining an organized tailor shop and providing excellent customer service. The role supports a fast-paced, customer-facing retail environment and requires attention to detail and professional presentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform expert alterations on men’s suits, shirts, coats, blazers, and trousers including hemming, tapering, waist and collar adjustments.
• Accurately mark and finish garments to meet company standards for fit and finish.
• Collaborate with sales associates to confirm sizing and recommend garment adjustments for customers.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-functioning tailor shop and ensure equipment is in good working order.
• Deliver timely and precise alterations to contribute to an elevated in-store customer experience.

Requirements

• Previous experience in garment alterations, preferably in men’s tailoring or formalwear.
• Proficiency in sewing techniques and use of basic tailoring equipment and machines.
• Strong understanding of fabrics, garment construction, and color perception.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple alterations efficiently.
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, professional appearance, and availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
