Summary

As a Tailor based at the Williamsburg store, you will deliver expert alterations to ensure garments fit customers perfectly. You will perform precise sewing and adjustments on suits, shirts, coats, blazers, and trousers while collaborating with sales associates on sizing. Maintain an organized tailor shop and provide timely, high-level customer service to enhance the in-store experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform expert alterations on mens suits, shirts, coats, blazers, and trousers including shortening/lengthening sleeves, tapering sides, lowering collars, and adjusting trouser waist, length, thigh, and foot widths.
• Accurately mark garments and ensure all alterations meet fit and finish standards.
• Collaborate with sales associates to confirm proper sizing and garment recommendations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-functioning tailor shop and keep equipment in good working order.
• Provide timely and precise alterations to support an elevated in-store customer experience.

Requirements

• Previous experience in garment alterations, preferably in mens tailoring or formalwear.
• Proficient in sewing techniques and operation of tailoring machines and equipment.
• Strong understanding of fabrics, garment construction, and color perception.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple alterations efficiently.
• Professional appearance with strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
• Availability and willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
