Master Fitter/Tailor

Summary

The Master Fitter/Tailor provides fitting and alteration expertise for luxury garments as part of the store tailoring team. The role supports an exceptional customer experience through skilled fittings, precise alterations, and personalized service.

Responsibilities

• Fit and perform alterations on a wide range of garments.
• Make alteration decisions during customer fittings using expert judgment.
• Build strong customer relationships and meet individual performance and productivity goals.
• Follow workroom, tailoring, store, and company procedures while maintaining a clean and safe workspace.
• Support store and department initiatives as needed.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of fitting and tailoring experience with high-end merchandise.
• Ability to fit and alter a wide range of garments and knowledge of luxury merchandise fabrication and styling.
• Proficiency with standard sewing, pressing, and spotting equipment, as well as specialty machines such as double-blind, buttonhole, cover-stitch, and leather machines.
• Technical expertise in specialty skills such as leather, knits, double-face, beading, fine tailoring, or buttonholes is preferred.
• High school graduation or equivalent preferred.
