Summary
Lead technical jewelry development and production for High Jewelry and Fine Jewelry collections, providing cross-functional leadership to ensure technical feasibility, aesthetic fidelity, and the highest standards of quality. Serve as a strategic partner to the Director to industrialize designs, allocate workloads, and drive continuous improvement in workshop processes. Oversee day-to-day technical operations and support project success from design through production.
Responsibilities
- Assess product designs for technical feasibility, volume translation, and quality standards.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, tooling solutions, and industrialization processes.
- Collaborate with operations to define estimates, set priorities, and allocate workloads to meet deadlines and cost targets.
- Provide production technical support, monitor manufacturing processes, and report on progress.
- Coordinate technical QC with Setters, Polishers, CAD, and Quality Control to prevent and resolve issues.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues.
- Train and guide teams to achieve target quality standards and operational excellence.
- Preserve and develop traditional techniques and integrate new methods into workshop practices.
- Serve as liaison across design, CAD, jewelry, setting and polishing teams to harmonize technical expertise.
Requirements
- 5 years of relevant experience in a High Jewelry environment.
- Proven team leadership and ability to manage confidential information.
- Strong technical acumen in product development, aesthetics, proportion, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, be proactive, and collaborate cross-functionally.
- Comprehensive knowledge of High Jewelry traditions, standards, and industry codes.
- Familiarity with CAD is a plus and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
