Technical Jewelry Manager

Summary

The Technical Jewelry Manager will provide technical leadership for the Tiffany Workshop in Pelham, supporting the development and production of High Jewelry and Fine Jewelry collections. This role leads industrialization efforts, ensures technical feasibility and aesthetic translation, and drives quality and process improvements across cross-functional teams. The Manager will serve as a key liaison between design, CAD, production, quality control, and operations to deliver complex, high-standard pieces.

Responsibilities

• Assess product designs for technical feasibility, aesthetic translation, and manufacturability, recommending alternative processes and tooling as needed.
• Lead industrialization and technical documentation, ensuring reproducibility and consistency of workshop pieces.
• Coordinate production processes, monitor manufacturing, and report on development and production status.
• Define manufacturing specifications, identify technical risks, and implement technical quality controls to prevent issues.
• Allocate workloads, set priorities with operations managers, and ensure deadlines and cost targets are met.
• Provide training and day-to-day technical support to setters, polishers, CAD, and quality teams to achieve target quality and lead times.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of relevant experience in a High Jewelry environment with proven team leadership.
• Strong technical acumen in product development, manufacturing processes, and quality management for jewelry.
• Demonstrated organizational, time management, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience managing sensitive information with high confidentiality and driving continuous improvement.
• Preferred: CAD knowledge, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and a bachelor's degree or equivalent.
