Temporary Jeweler

Summary

Fabricate and finish high-end gold and platinum jewelry pieces in a production workshop environment. Support the construction, assembly, repair, and polishing of intricate jewelry, working to prescribed quality standards and project timelines. This is an onsite temporary assignment (approximately 3-6 months) with potential overtime to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Support physical construction of new and repeatable high jewelry products according to delivery timelines.
• Perform cast cleaning, assembly and repair of platinum and gold jewelry with various diamonds and precious stones.
• Handle stones and components carefully to avoid damage and verify accuracy of work orders and component tracking.
• Follow tooling, routing steps and standard times to improve efficiency and meet quality standards.
• Communicate project status, issues and potential barriers to the manager and perform self-inspections throughout the process.
• Comply with security procedures, put away materials and complete other duties as required.

Requirements

• Bench experience in high-end jewelry manufacturing with knowledge of complex construction and polishing techniques.
• Understanding of precious metal properties and experience working with diamonds and precious stones.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to follow direction from peer coach and management.
• Ability to work onsite five days a week and be available for overtime as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent; accredited jewelry certification and additional polishing experience preferred.
