Summary
The Temporary Operations Associate is responsible for maintaining store inventory and stock areas to company standards, processing shipping and receiving accurately, minimizing stock loss, supporting inventory control activities, and assisting with merchandising and housekeeping tasks.
Responsibilities
- Maintain orderly neat stock and receiving areas and general store maintenance
- Ensure merchandise is properly ticketed sensored and security tagged
- Support receiving practices compliance including safekeeping of funds property and record keeping
- Participate in inventory and cycle counts
- Assist with floor moves merchandising display maintenance and price changes
- Assist in packing or wrapping customer merchandise when necessary
- Communicate with central distribution and corporate inventory control
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management
Requirements
- Previous retail stock shipping and receiving experience
- Ability to handle receiving operations and properly handle merchandise
- Strong interpersonal communication organization and follow through skills
- Ability to read count and write to complete documentation accurately
- Ability to operate inventory control computer systems sensor tag remover and related equipment
- Ability to adjust priorities in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work varied hours including nights weekends and holidays
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform heavy lifting
