Summary

The Toy Soldier represents the FAO Schwarz brand and creates an engaging, memorable experience for store guests. This role welcomes visitors, demonstrates products, leads store events and ceremonies, and participates in social media content while remaining in character.

Responsibilities

• Engage guests, build rapport, and act as a greeter and local information resource.
• Lead the daily store opening ceremony and private events or shopping experiences.
• Demonstrate products and tailor talking points to different audiences.
• Participate in social media posts and filmed or live video content in character.
• Wear the provided uniform and maintain the Toy Soldier persona throughout shifts.

Requirements

• An engaging, theatrical personality and the ability to remain positive and in character for extended periods.
• Flexible availability, including Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
• Performance, acting, music, or dance experience is a plus; experience with premium or experience-based retail is also a plus.
• Ability to move continuously for 6-8 hours and perform frequent bending, reaching, and handling merchandise, including lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally.
