Lead drop ship transportation strategy and operations to deliver best in class customer delivery experience while balancing service, speed, quality and cost. Collaborate with cross functional teams and external partners to manage carrier selection, performance, and continuous improvement initiatives for drop ship shipments.
Responsibilities
- Manage and expand drop ship transportation strategy for full line and rack merchandise.
- Collaborate with operations, product, engineering, customer care and stakeholders to define carrier selection and processes.
- Analyze supplier and carrier performance and lead cost efficiency initiatives.
- Develop and implement customer focused transportation solutions balancing key factors.
- Utilize systems and carrier interfaces for routing, tracking and receipt of shipments.
- Apply data analysis and project management to drive continuous improvement.
- Prepare and communicate performance updates to leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, transportation, business or engineering desired.
- 5+ years of transportation, logistics, engineering or supply chain experience.
- Strong teamwork, influencing and negotiating skills with stakeholders.
- Creative problem solving, business acumen and customer focused mindset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with analytical tools and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to travel up to 10 to 20 percent annually.
