Job Description
As an integral part of the Data Science team, the Senior Manager, Data Science will play a key role in our fast growing organization, helping us discover and generate material value from data. The primary focus will be on applying data mining & machine learning techniques to identify business opportunities and build high quality decision support tools & decision making systems. He/She/Them will challenge processes to make smarter decisions while advocating and evangelizing data-fuelled models to support our success.
The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong passion for producing new, creative and leading-edge solutions through all aspects of the data science product life cycle, including productionalization of developed solutions. As a Senior Manager, the candidate will play the role of multi-domain leader & company scientist expert (both as an individual contributor and as a team leader, on the technical strategic direction and on the business project management side).
The Senior Manager will develop high level understanding and become a subject matter expert in the fields and teams that the candidate will be directly overseeing. He/She/Them could be brought to contribute directly or indirectly in multiple fields including pricing, buying intelligence, customer knowledge, recommendation / personalization, marketing and customer.
In Pricing, the candidate will create, develop, support and execute pricing strategies to ensure our competitiveness and extract the most value from our inventory. He/She/Them will be responsible for the performance of markdowns (strategy, execution and monitoring) and contribute to performance pricing initiatives (outside of markdown periods).
