Facilities Technician 3

As a Facilities Technician 3 at our East Coast Fulfillment Center, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our building and material handling systems. You will lead the execution of our preventative maintenance program and support the Operations team by designing maintenance solutions for complex problems. Additionally, you will mentor and train service technicians to achieve departmental goals.

• Act as a safety champion and promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair all aspects of material handling systems and conveyors.
• Diagnose electrical and electronic control systems using test equipment.
• Maintain and troubleshoot basic relay logic, ladder diagrams, and control components.
• Safely operate equipment such as forklifts, scissor and boom lifts, and hand tools.
• Lead and audit preventative maintenance procedures.
• Create and close out work orders with detailed data.
• Maintain effective communication with senior operations leaders.
• Develop work plans for emergency repair of critical assets.
• Mentor technicians by providing guidance and leading training plans.
• Move up to 49lbs and stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours.

• 5+ years of experience with conveyors, electrical systems, and building maintenance.
• An Associate's or higher degree in Mechanical or Electrical field is preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of operation and repair of material handling equipment.
• Advanced knowledge of power tools, pneumatic, or hydraulic tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to use technology such as smartphones, tablets, and computers.
• Basic knowledge of control systems and PLCs is preferred.
• Robotic knowledge is preferred.
