Accountant

As an Accountant at Dolce & Gabbana in New York City, you will play a crucial role in the Accounting department, focusing on cash transactions and preparing various financial reports. This position offers a hybrid work schedule, combining both in-office and remote work.

• Review chargebacks deducted from credit card settlements and notify the Loss and Prevention department.
• Prepare monthly journal entries for financial statements, including payroll and bonus accruals.
• Calculate percentage rent and prepare monthly gross sales reports.
• Conduct monthly bank reconciliations for all accounts.
• Perform general ledger analysis for assigned accounts, such as Accounts Receivable for Cash and Credit Card Receivables.
• Reconcile monthly and quarterly payroll between ADP and AX.
• Download reports from Concur and book T&E reports bi-weekly.
• Rebill intercompany charges related to PR, Celebrities, and ECA.
• Assist in preparing year-end work papers and provide support during audits.
• Prepare and submit monthly cash flow reports to the Director of Control and Planning.

• Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and v-lookups.
• Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles in the United States.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Hands-on experience with general ledgers.
• Experience with digital payment systems like Piteco or any UPI system.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
