Accountant

As an Accountant, you will report to the Financial Controller and be a vital part of our dynamic team in New York, NY. You will assist in the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, focusing on cash transactions and preparing various financial reports.

• Review chargebacks from credit card settlements and notify the Loss and Prevention department.
• Prepare monthly journal entries for financial statements, including payroll and bonus accruals.
• Calculate percentage rent and prepare monthly gross sales reports.
• Conduct monthly bank reconciliations for all accounts.
• Perform general ledger analysis for assigned accounts.
• Reconcile monthly and quarterly payroll.
• Download and book T&E reports bi-weekly.
• Rebill intercompany charges related to PR, Celebrities, and ECA.
• Assist in preparing year-end work papers and support auditors during audits.
• Prepare and submit monthly cash flow reports.

• BA/BS degree in Accounting, Business, or related discipline.
• Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and v-lookups.
• Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles in the US.
• Experience with ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Hands-on experience with general ledgers.
• Experience with digital payment systems such as Piteco or UPI.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
