Responsibilities- Complete month-end close duties accurately and timely, including recording and approving journal entries and performing variance analysis.
- Interact with accounting partners in North America and globally.
- Identify, analyze, and conclude on proper accounting for complicated transactions.
- Perform technical accounting research to support current policies and practices.
- Prepare and review reconciliations for balance sheet accounts and communicate unreconciled items to management.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.
- Work with internal and external auditors for successful audit completion.
- Review and provide feedback on the work of others.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
- Oversee recording and reconciliation of intercompany transactions.
- Prepare and review intercompany reports and disclosures.
- Manage reconciliation of intercompany accounts.
- Drive improvements in variances and related processes.
- Identify root causes of persistent problems and enact solutions.
- Train and mentor intercompany accounting staff.
- Support audit requests and maintain compliance with SOX controls.
- Assist in resolving complex intercompany issues.
- Assist with documenting accounting policies and procedures.
- Review and approve journal entries using SAP.
Requirements- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
- 6+ years of relevant experience.
- Self-starter with problem-solving initiative.
- Ability to analyze problems and reach logical conclusions.
- Effective time management and communication skills.
- Analytical thinker and problem solver.
- Ability to interact professionally with coworkers and management.
- Understanding of accounts receivable and payable processes.
- MBA and CPA preferred.
