Allocation Planner

Summary

The Allocation Planner manages inventory replenishment and seasonal initial allocations for Marc Jacobs retail stores. The role also supports allocation and release of inventory for wholesale partners and the retail network, using sales and inventory analysis to maximize service levels and sell-through.

Responsibilities

• Allocate and replenish store inventory from the distribution center and determine initial seasonal allocation quantities.
• Evaluate sales and inventory trends, adjust inventory thresholds, and provide regional reporting for global decisions.
• Coordinate with Buying, Sales Operations, and warehouse teams on priorities, supply, shipping forecasts, and order releases.
• Monitor product arrival dates and delays, resolve held or unreleasable orders, and maintain retail order entry.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in a planning role.
• Advanced Excel skills and a comprehensive understanding of retail math.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, organization, and ability to multitask.
• Ability to work independently, with at least 50% of the time focused on allocation.
