Responsibilities

• Perform measurements, fittings, and alterations for a variety of garments using industrial sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques.
• Execute hems, seams, zippers, lining adjustments, and garment repairs to company quality standards.
• Provide professional customer service, consult on fit and alteration options, and manage customer orders and timelines.
• Maintain accurate alteration tickets, track orders in the system, and communicate status to customers and store staff.
• Inspect finished garments for quality, press and finish work, and prepare garments for pickup or delivery.
• Maintain sewing equipment and a clean, organized work area.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional tailoring or alterations experience.
• Proficient with industrial sewing machines, sergers, pressing equipment, and hand-sewing techniques.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, and alteration techniques.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills; ability to advise on fit and style.
• Ability to handle repetitive tasks, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 25 lbs.
• High school diploma or equivalent; availability to work retail hours including weekends and holidays.
