Job Description

Summary

Provide professional garment alteration services for customers at the Stanford Shopping Center location, ensuring high quality tailoring and customer satisfaction. Perform fittings, adjustments, and repairs while maintaining shop standards and timelines. Collaborate with store team to support sales and provide expert garment care advice.

Responsibilities

  • Perform alterations such as hemming, taking in or letting out seams, and repairing garments.
  • Conduct customer fittings and measure accurately to ensure proper fit.
  • Finish garments with pressing and final quality checks before customer pickup.
  • Manage alteration orders, track timelines, and meet delivery deadlines.
  • Maintain sewing equipment and supplies in good working order.
  • Advise customers on alteration options and care instructions.
  • Coordinate with store staff to process orders and communicate status.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of professional tailoring or alterations experience.
  • Proficiency with sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques.
  • Strong measurement and fitting skills with attention to garment construction.
  • Customer service skills and ability to communicate alteration options clearly.
  • Ability to manage multiple orders and meet deadlines.
  • High level of detail orientation and quality focus.
