Alterations Manager

Summary

The Alterations Manager leads alterations teams serving Saks Fifth Avenue Greenwich and Neiman Marcus Westchester. The role builds department processes and delivers excellent client service while meeting the needs of the selling organization.

Responsibilities

• Organize and build structural processes, monitor objectives, and drive results.
• Foster teamwork between the selling organization and the alterations department.
• Recruit, select, train, and develop alterations associates.
• Provide ongoing education, performance feedback, and oversight of service, quality, productivity, and procedures.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of management experience with comparable volume or a record of managing operations and achieving results.
• Knowledge of alterations, garment fabrication, and luxury merchandise.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and available technology.
• Fitting and tailoring experience in a high-end setting is preferred; a four-year degree is preferred.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
