Analyst, FP&A (Capital Investments)

Summary

The Analyst, Capital Investments partners with business leaders to support disciplined capital allocation and company profitability. This role evaluates proposed investments, supports capital planning and forecasting, measures investment performance, and handles financial activities for select departments.

Responsibilities

• Support annual capital planning, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end FP&A activities.
• Evaluate investment proposals, develop business cases, and prepare financial analysis for investment reviews and approvals.
• Measure investment performance and develop reporting, KPIs, and metrics for capital portfolio results.
• Analyze department operating expense budgets and financial results, and provide commentary to support action plans.
• Coordinate with Accounting and cross-functional stakeholders, improve financial models and processes, and complete ad hoc analysis.

Requirements

• Post-secondary degree in a related field or 3-5 years of equivalent experience; CPA designation or progress toward it is an asset.
• At least 2 years of experience in FP&A, investment analysis, capital planning, or related finance work.
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to assess proposals and communicate business insights.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills; SAP, IBM Cognos, and Microsoft Fabric experience is an asset.
• Strong communication, collaboration, prioritization, ownership, and attention to detail.
