Responsibilities- Analyze and document product specifications, technical files, and legal documentation to determine HTS classification using applicable rules and regulations.
- Provide direction on Partner Government Agency requirements and preferential trade program qualifications.
- Ensure adherence to Customs rules and regulations with documented audit trails and rationale for classification determinations.
- Collaborate with Product Development, Production, and Sourcing teams to determine appropriate tariff rates and explore tariff engineering opportunities.
- Contribute to training and reference materials supporting business and compliance requirements.
- Monitor changes in regulations impacting HTS classification and trade compliance laws.
- Manage a diverse workload with changing priorities.
- Share knowledge with key business partners and teams.
Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in Customs Administration and International Trade is a plus.
- Direct experience in HTS Classification, including textiles and apparel, footwear, and related accessories.
- Ability to interpret and apply customs rulings and HTS chapter notes.
- Self-starter with strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
