SummaryThe Architecture and Design Manager at RLA+D Studio will oversee the store design process for custom level wholesale and boutique store projects across multiple Ralph Lauren brands. This role requires managing a large volume of projects and collaborating with various teams and partners, primarily located in Europe.
Responsibilities- Partner with Business/Sales, Merchandising, Retail, Construction Teams, and external partners in project development.
- Manage day-to-day operations of new store and renovation projects for RL Wholesale, RL Wholesale Licensee, and RL Retail.
- Produce schematic design and design development packages for new wholesale locations and retail stores.
- Oversee project management including design, construction, millwork shop drawing/finish sample review, and budget and schedule awareness.
- Coordinate project requirements with RL in-house departments and external partners.
- Maintain communication with vendors, internal teams, and external partners.
- Manage and prioritize work and schedules of RL consultants.
Requirements- Experience in retail architectural design or high-end/custom residential architecture in a project manager’s position.
- High proficiency in AutoCAD 2018 or more recent versions.
- Proficiency in Adobe applications, Autodesk applications, Word, Excel, Microsoft Project, and 3D rendering software.
- Strong design skills and ability to sketch.
- Knowledge of millwork standards, details, and construction.
- Experience working with lighting, MEP, and other project-related consultants.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Experience on site reviewing construction and shop fit installations.
