Asset Protection Agent - Westchester

Summary

The Asset Protection Agent protects customers, employees, merchandise, and store assets by preventing and investigating theft and safety incidents. This role partners with store leadership, law enforcement, and investigation teams, and participates in the store Emergency Response Team. The Agent uses surveillance, reporting tools, and RFID data to identify trends and support shrinkage reduction.

Responsibilities

• Conduct apprehensions and resolve theft incidents in accordance with policy and AP leadership guidance.
• Monitor video systems and leverage technology and reporting to identify theft trends and support investigations.
• Investigate internal theft by gathering evidence and partnering with AP leadership and investigations teams.
• Support store safety by responding to, escalating, and reporting security and emergency incidents and participating in ERT training.
• Lead security audits, shrinkage awareness efforts, and training within the store.
• Prepare timely incident and investigation reports and testify in court when summoned.

Requirements

• Clear verbal and written communication skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment in fast-paced situations.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and a calm demeanor when handling aggressive behavior or safety issues.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs and meet state or local licensing requirements.
• Experience with investigative, asset protection, or security procedures preferred.
• Willingness to build partnerships with store leaders, neighboring retailers, and local law enforcement.
