Asset Protection Investigator

Summary

Responsible for monitoring shortage results, conducting investigations and apprehensions for internal and external theft, and implementing store safety and awareness programs under direction of Asset Protection leadership. Trains store associates on asset protection policies, maintains inventory integrity through reporting and audits, and supports shortage control strategies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor shortage results and implement shortage control measures
• Conduct investigations into internal and external theft incidents
• Perform apprehensions in accordance with store procedures
• Train store associates on awareness and asset protection policies
• Maintain physical inventory integrity through daily and monthly reports and audits
• Organize and conduct annual store inventory
• Develop shortage strategies for merchandise groups and paperwork controls
• Use store IT applications and systems to support asset protection activities

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years asset protection experience in a large volume retail environment preferred
• Certification required where applicable by jurisdiction
• Ability to learn company standards, procedures, and IT applications quickly
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Wicklander-Zulawski certification a plus
